Integrate PunchOut with BigCommerce
As you know, Punchout technology has been a trend in e-commerce business involving big customers having their own e-procurement systems.
You can go through my past article based on Punchout by clicking on here.
In this article, we will focus on integrating punchout with BigCommerce specifically. I have taken an example of SAP Ariba e-procurement system.
It will be helpful for developers who are new to the punchout system and want to know the integration process.
Step 1 :
Before integrating punchout, we need to have a BigCommerce store ready with us.
So you need to create a store at Big Commerce Cloud and upgrade account for having the custom domain name.

Note: It can not be hosted at the local server. It creates a store at BigCommerce cloud automatically. (SAAS)
Step 2 :
You need to choose the desired theme and do frontend customizations as per requirement.
Step 3 :
We need to create an account on the PunchOut2go website.
PunchOut2Go is a PunchOut Gateway designed to simplify the PunchOut conversation between the seller’s storefront and the buyer’s e-procurement system. Learn More
Step 4:
Install Punchout2Go app inside big commerce apps section and configure it with punchout2go credentials.
Step 5 :
Register store in Ariba Network for Suppliers and insert catalog url that will be received from PunchOut2Go.

Step 6 :
Once e-commerce punchout URL is registered in the e-procurement system, buyers can search for Supplier’s punchout website within the procurement system itself and autologin into the website for purchase.
